Out popped a pair of striking eyes
contained, no lies
Then came the mice!
Ran to me--fell on my hands, stopping her cries
Got up and slips
On me she grips
we stared still
feeling something in my heart fill
She then grew closer to me...
Taking me by my hand--for something to see
Then my gaze met few children at the far end
'Our son' she says--I didn't comprehend
We stood by a riverbank
Then her voice--I really have to thank
I snapped back--Startled
We then stared again--bamboozled
we then parted our ways
Though I shall never forget her face
