Maybe... Poem by Aysha Nasreen Aysha

Maybe...

There lie thorns under your feet
Oh--the times we embraced without a beat
I have plunged a knife in the depths of your heart
Now--for me a meaningless war fought...?
Holding on you--forgiveness is what I sought
what is it that you call love...?
Oh--my precious little dove...
Just maybe--I shouldn't have let you go...
I have questioned your affection...no?
I watched as you plunged to your own end
Oh...Your life--which you have lend
Now I hold you--Yelling out in vanity
I killed my sanity
My path ended with you early at five
I couldn't keep you alive
Do look at me with that honey--like gaze of yours
Held me...until your arms sore
I left your heart a large hole
Right, I questioned your soul...
you fell to your end--as if to dive
woe to me--I couldn't keep you alive...
