Babies At Christmas Poem by Marilyn Lott

Babies At Christmas

Rating: 5.0

Adorable babies at Christmas time
Always bring such a smile
Dimpled cheeks and pudgy fingers
Curious minds at work all the while.

Life all around them is so exciting
They want to explore everything
To touch and smell and taste
Curiosity is their middle name.

Warm sweet hats atop their heads
I want to give them all a kiss
Nothing in the world compares
To wonderful babies at Christmas!

Well said, Marilyn. All people at Christmas time need our attention, too. There are many who are lonely and Christmas is their worst time of year. I seem to remember hearing that there are more suicides during the Christmas season than any other time of year. I don't know if that's true.

I didn't realize I could reply here so sent you a message. I have heard the same thing, Kim, and I am sure it is true. Those who are alone have to be feeling even more so at this time of year. I wrote a poem addressing that but do not remember the name. If I find it I will let you know. Thanks for responding to my poem, I hope it gave a smile to lonely people as well as those who are not alone.
