It's been three months since the big day
You said 'I love you' back to me
You said you felt the same way
It was the best day of my life
I thought that was the start of it all
But that was the beginning of the fall

And I should've known And I should've seen
That the love you showed Wasn't meant for me

So baby please hold me
I feel so cold
All of my friends told me
That you would fold

And I haven't seen you since that night
When you walked away and shut me out of your life
I kept your sweater by my bed
Like somehow you'd come back again
I wish you would've told me
When you said you'd never leave me

I never thought you'd go I thought we had more time
We said we'd be together Forever — you lied

Baby please hold me
I feel so cold
And maybe they were right
But God, I wish they were wrong
