Wish You Were Near Poem by George Komarov

Wish You Were Near

Lost in the haze of a purple sky
I called your name but the stars walked by
The moon just shrugged as it hung so high

Every shadow whispers where you've gone
Every echo sings the same old song

Wish you were near to calm this storm
Wish you were near where it's safe and warm
Wish you were near
Wish you could hear
The silence is loud
Wish you were near

The clouds wear masks that look like you
They're drifting fast
Changing shapes
It's true
But they never stay
They just fade to blue

Every wave that crashes calls your name
Every spark of lightning plays the game

Every second stretches thin
Where do you end
Where do I begin

Wish you were near
Wish you could hear
The echoes bouncing in my chest
My dear
Crazy diamonds
Falling through space
...
All I see is your empty place
