Baby Robbie (A Triolet) Poem by John F. McCullagh

Baby Robbie (A Triolet)

The Snow lay gently on the ground
the day that you were born

Lay where it fell without a sound
The day that you were born.

I took you, son into my arms
(depite the nurses' faint alarms)
and sang a lullaby by Brahms

The snow lay gently on the ground
the day that you were born.
