Back To Basics Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Back To Basics

We need to go back to Paper and Pen,
Computers are the bane of my Life,
When they go wrong, and often it is,
They bring me more trouble and strife.

‘What have I done wrong? ' ~ Again you do ask,
Why cannot my Emails be wrote?
I place the cursor there on the spot,
But no letters, nor words, nor a note.

Too far forward have we gone in Life,
Back to Basics we must go again,
When we rely on Electronic Emails,
Would not letters on paper be best?

Computer Games, Emails and more,
Take up Time better elsewhere spent,
Have we forgotten about the books that could be read?
Or to Places with others we went?

We need to go back to Paper and Pen,
Will others read the Poetry I wrote?
Or will they be forgotten after I've gone?
Will the Paper just go up in smoke?
