Back To The Place I Promised Myself I'D Never Go Again. Poem by Keith Franks

Back To The Place I Promised Myself I'D Never Go Again.

I have been trapped here before,
My strength's been sealed inside a vial,
and though I want to be here no more,
I must stay and withstand this trial.

This pain leaves my skin torn,
with Demons radiating to the brim,
They take my face to be worn,
I must not kneel to his whim.

Singing without words,
a melody of sadness,
A silent choir flees in terror,
A crumpled heart falling in a rumbling madness,
I must not falter, and correct the error.
