Backstabber To The End - Poem by Mary Roach

We had a great friendship
or so it had been
but now it has gone
because of your sin

I thought you cared for me
in a friend sort of way
but now when I confront you
you have nothing to say.

You swear you did no evil
but still I don’t believe
that you can sit there and lie
and think that I don’t see.

I thought you were trustworthy
I thought you were my friend
but now all I can see
is a backstabber to the end.
