Once upon a time in the urban sprawl,
Where dreams were big but hopes were small.
In the hood where the streets are rough,
Live young Princess and princesses.
They not Royalty with a crown so grand,
But there street-smart with a fiery brand.
There castle are rundown apartment blocks,
Where life is tough, like a ticking clock.
There, hearts so true,
There, dreams are like stars in the night sky blue.
Fighting for justice in a world unfair,
A modern-day hero with style and flair.
No fairy godmother with a wand in sight,
Just friends in the hood, ready to fight.
Against the odds, they rise up high,
A beacon of hope in a darkened sky.
In this backwards fairytale of the hood,
Where struggles are real and times are good,
Princess and princesses they shine bright and bold,
For there, stories of courage should be told.
