a language of Papua New Guinea
peace is said "baigan"

"Baigan tapen" to make peace
make friends
"baigan apanewa" are peaceful men

"Bigaren wandepen" suggests
to be at peace one must have
a clear conscience
be unworried
unafraid

What does it take in this world
to have a clear conscience
to deal with worries
and face life unafraid

Relax your hand
"naniga bibigarep"
calm down
"imua bigaren"
after the sun cools
"oam bigarep amba"
and the day's work is done
"ne bigat nigat waingepen"
be satisfied
having gotten what was desired
