Ball Street And Other 'Aahs' Poem by Jim Boone

Ball Street And Other 'Aahs'

There’s a tranquility
That’s seldom breached
A landscape bountiful
In history of architecture
And spirit - Spirit that’s
Rich in soul and purpose
Purpose that smiles on neighbors
Planting a garden on a corner
To bespeak a grandeur once there
To a couple pushing a stroller
Past walkers and joggers, slo-mo vehicles
Camera totin’ tourists, bicyclists and
A boy on a skate4board who will never
Again feel as self-assured as he does
Today, while gliding down Ball Street
And braking for a lady walking her
Precious doggy while giving thanks
In her heart for the peaceful diversity
Of Ball street and other ‘aahs’.
