Bandaid Poem by Michaela Araskiewicz

Bandaid

You found me when
I was broken.
When you kissed me that night at the movies,
you left me completely outspoken.
Now everytime you touch me, chills run down my spine,
As I stand there in awe, just waiting for you to hug me,
for you to tell me everything is going to be alright.
I honestly thought you wern't like all the rest,
That maybe you could be the best,
thing thats ever happened to me.

You were kissing her when you told me its over,
She pryed herself away from you to look at me,
she gave me a devilish look, like it was all my fault.
We stood there in silence for a few secounds,
Then I apoligized to him, I told him that i was sorry,
Sorry for trusting him, for trusting anyone,
It was all my fault,
relationships have been rough since, now you need to rip off the Bandaid thats keeping me together,
To get into my heart.
