Baptism Poem by T.A. Rosenbaum

Baptism

Your soul came calling from above
Gentle rain falling from the sky
It lit upon my heart, a holy dove
It had the harmony of a perfect love
That nothing corporeal could deny

Your spirit came irrevocably to me
And it does still
Not an action of will
A ball rolling down a hill
A river running to the lonely sea
But it’s a dream that won’t come again
Sailing away, forever now away
And this and every day
You are to stay
For so long, where have you been?
