Barlights Poem by Jorge Rolon

Barlights

Rating: 5.0

A warm day in the middle of July
I watch the birds in the sky
Thats when you passed me by
Everything about you caught my eye
The way your hips moved when you would walk
The way your lips moved when you would talk
A simple kiss with a gentle bite
I took you to the barlight

The stars had never shined so bright
And nothing ever felt so right
We fell in love on these summer nights
As we laughed under the barlights
We forgot the wrongs and the rights
Because there was only us under the barlights

We laid under the tree for shade
We thought the summer would never fade
But one day the fun had to end
my poor heart was left to mend
Just know my heart still beats for you
Even is summers end split us two
But nothing could take our summer nights
Or the time we spent under the Barlights

The stars had never shined so bright
And nothing ever felt so right
We fell in love on these summer nights
As we laughed under the barlights
We forgot the wrongs and the rights
Because there was only us under the barlights
