I just love to look with wonder
Of barns captured by a brush
Some are from long ago
You can hear a country hush
Sometimes you’ll see things
Like a buggy with a horse
The artist pulls you right inside
Takes you back in time of course
A snow storm in another
Oh, it’s got an icy feel
It’s as though I lived there myself
‘Cause it seems so very real
Another painting also
Depicts the winter time
Snow so deep you wonder
If you could ever make that climb
And look at that one over there
Fragrant summer flowers
That spring has left behind
From its fresh and watery showers
Oh yes, I love the paintings
Talented artists have given us
So take the time to notice
What they’ve captured with a brush!

Funny, I just posted a poem about painting by numbers and right next door to it I saw this one. Great minds think alike, eh, Marilyn? I have to agree about all those paintings you depict. I went to a watercolour exhibition in London a couple of months back and saw such talent and beauty. I wanted to take a load home with me (only I couldn't afford the prices) . Nice poem about the appreciation of art. Love, Fran xx
