Barry White Poem by John Ackerman

Barry White

to be meak isn't weak Jesus too a leap proud to say in his frey
life is a rollercoaster kinda roaming thunder is it any wonder
got rhymes that glow got bars that gleam in my music machine
there's something happening in the streets with those dancing feet
I'm an animal canibal suicidal yet going slower like a boulder
we each struggle with sin where to begin flipping frys and burgers at the gym
but I came here to win my famous friend with whom I can depend
There's something inside of me from my society but I devote myself to poetry
flirting with fire guns running hotter got feelings of pleasure on the wire

Not sense the late Rick James have we sought through its tender flames
in a stage with Barry White the lady's man so very nice makes you think twice
burning higher and higher soaring to the top of the most like a lost seagull on the coast
something burning deep inside of me hitting the flames nightly
remember the disco man out there working on his tan
Check out the hook and promote the tempo on flames in tow
something you ought to know bust up the beat to promote the tempo

Fans screaming for more many years ago one foot out the door
got one foot in heaven the other in hell but I got a good story to tell
when I was young never needed help from anyone now those days are done
sure fire way to groove in the hood up to know good
screams of passion in our society bust out the homily arm me with harmony
like a sonic beam things are naturally what they may seem
