Bashed At Your Insecurity - Poem by Marcia Gravett

I did a terrible thing
I did not mean to do it
You hurt me
I was looking for a reason to hurt you

I wanted to make you cry
I wanted you to feel pain
I did not mean to hurt you
All I can say is sorry

I am just as insecure as you are
I will not let people see it
I have done a terrible thing
I bashed at your insecurity
