Basic Instinct

Rating: 3.3

The modern world in which we live our lives,
the materials, corporations and routines,
centuries long the system was worked on,
millennia preceeding more primative the ways,
we all know our past, the way we were,
the childeren we were, the childeren there are,
easily percived, easily persuaded,
their emotions are strong, inexperienced to the world
basic instinct we think we have lost,
we believe we have evolved, better then we were,
though we secretly know it lurks in the shadow,
how would we fare if the situation arose,
worse yet, how would the childeren who we know can be cruel?

The time when this happened was not that long ago,
the place where it happened, secluded, uninhabited,
the ways of society crumbled, seemed laughable,
hiarachy changes, brawn and brutality shines,
one by one they change sides,
bit by bit their sanity fades,
or is it sanity they are losing,
or merely returning to their tribal ways?
the strong, physically and mentally,
outnumbered by those absent of the latter,
the final one scared, unswayed by the madness,
hunted, jeered at, in an uncharted land, no sanity,
nothing for so many miles, nothing but ocean,
his once companions, clean cut, students of the progressed,
now savage, unrecognisable, face paint masks the exterior,
they kill him, find joy in doing so,
never caught, never found,
the body to rot, along with the last of nobility,
dead on the ground...

Seems more then just excellent to me... It describes things it shouldn't and does it perfectly.
