Basking In The Spring Sun Poem by Mohammad Younus

Basking In The Spring Sun

Basking in the spring sun,
The heart within revealed,
In the joy of a smiling face,
In the loveliness of a radiant gaze.
A breeze stirs the Chinar leaves,
Whispering divine melodies,
Like the endless hum of Hu.

Crows, cloaked in black,
yet hearts of white,
Swans, bathed in white,
yet hearts of green,
Soaring above the ripples
of a vast, calm sea,
Gazing at the distant sky—
Crying out to the divine,
"I see You here."

The rainbow wind touches the shore,
Kissing the transparent sea—
There, my gaze is fixed,
Drawn deep into the divine.
