Basta Mama - Poem by Aldo Kraas

Basta mama
Because I need to live my life now
And please understand that time is running out for me
Basta mama
Even though it is very hard for me to talk to you
I can't be your slave anymore

This poem is at once both sad but yet bittersweet. The day does come when we all must forge out our own life for ourselves and break away from all that is comfortable and familiar to us. Nice write! (Report) Reply
