Be Poem by stuiterdick stuiterdick

Be

When loneliness became a friend
Worthy of my trust
Withholding all the false assumptions
Betrayed of warmth and lust.

The chilling fact of being naked,
Stripped of fear and pride
A pair of cold but shiny tweezers
Pealing splinters from my eyes

Broken mirror and shattered dreams
Devastated soul
Abolishing the forced façade
I 'm giving up control

Spasmodic movement, final dance
As one or two can see
How slowly I allow myself
Allow myself to be.
