Beach Neighbor



at the other side
of the fence
is my British
expatriate
neighbor

his beard is white
and he is
6 feet tall
retired
military man
married to
a Filipina
who split with her husband
5 years ago

i watch him playing
with an adopted
2 year old
brown kid,

they are throwing stones
to the sea.
