Beachside Poem by Whitney Stevens

Beachside

I walk the beach one moonlit night
The rays of light reflecting upon the sea
I built a sandcastle, a tower, and spire
Yet the salty sea foam washed it away
And pulled the ground to the blue abyss

I was not much distressed or angered
The sand beneath my feet rested once again
The seabreeze was cool, the ground damp
I had forgotten all about my sand castle
The mere thought slid away with the tide
