Beat Again Heart...Come On! By Gio Masserati

She slowed
Was she alone suddenly?
she slowed again
Coming to a halt

As she stood there
Now fully aware

She heard a rambunctious heart
Beating
Pounding fast

Birds chirping
Whirling wind
Waterfalls

Surrounded by all
Forces of nature

Yes
She was alone
Miraculously

No looking back
Only forward now

She heard crickets
They began to sing
louder and faster
Deafening really
To the point of no return

Exhaustion overcame her
She fell into a deep sleep

Silence poured into her being
Body mind and spirit

Her heart and soul
watching nearby on a swing

Silence came
and stayed awhile
Administering
her soothing properties

Silence
Silence brought wisdom

Tell your heart to beat again

Beat Again Heart!

Come battered and bruised

Beat again!
...Heart...
Beat again!
