Beaten Down Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Beaten Down

Your heart came washed up upon the shore,
Once again, you called to me once more,
Lonely, afraid, unwanted and beaten down,
You ask can you help me once again,
Down that lost street you have been,
To places you should not have gone,
Now you are beaten down my friend.
