Tears stain her cheeks
While he holds her close,
His arms wrapped around her,
As though to prevent the world from crashing down,
The sobs that wrack her body,
A sure sign that she is broken,
That her heart had been shattered all over again,
He picked up the pieces,
Trying to put her back together,
She turns to him,
Eyes distant but clear,
As she wipes away his tears,
She sees the pain she had caused,
The fear to which she had instilled in him,
And the determination to never let go,
This beautiful girl who he holds dear,
And this handsome man that
She can’t get enough of,
But they hold each other close,
In a world full of Beautiful Chaos

Awesome! I loved the image of the male shielding her from the ravages of the world; and your use of descriptive phrases that touch on the immediate events as a world crashing down, tear-stained cheeks, a body wracked, and a heart shattered. All individual in nature, but put together nicely to form a story in poetic form that easily ignites the reader's imagination. Truly a reading I enjoyed, Jessica...thank you! [Rating: 9]
