What America Used To Be

America used to be,
Courageous,
People who would fight for us,
Rather than against us,
America used to be,
Free,
Where we never talked down on others,
Where respect was number one,
And where Americans could be free,

America is not Freedom,
Or Courageous,
America is,
Where robberies are feared,
And words do hurt the heart,
Where a person's only wish
Is to be left alone,

America is lost,
Because we are judged off of…
What we do rather than what we say,
Where action contradicts our verbalisms,
Where we encumber ...
