Beautiful Destruction Poem by Jeph S. Walker

Beautiful Destruction

ice melts
off of the trees
as i walk by
as if im so hot
that it melts
when i come near
I'm not vain
just honest

the ice cracks
as i walk on it
caving in
and impacting
the snow
as if it gives in
just for me
ok
thats vain

but to be more truthfull
not to myself
I could'nt care less
about myself
but more truthfull
to you
it seems
your the only one
that makes me melt
and cave in

a beautiful destruction
to be sure
for i have never
regreted how helpless
I feel while talking
to you

i just hope eventually
I'll hear you say
you feel the same

I become one
with this ocean
of magma
liquid lava
of my feelings
I offer my fluid hand
for you to join me
in this pool of subdue

I find peace
in the debris
the little pile
of me
I'm at ease
as long as i know
you're the one
that broke me

a beautifull destruction
to be sure
for I have never
regreted how shattered
I feel while thinking
of you

i just hope eventually
I'll hear you say
you feel the same

god I love
to be the strips of paper
that you tare to shreds
as you waste lead
on another idea
you found a little less clever
shreded remains of flesh
all of your thoughts
you strive to revise

I'm always and never
on going and frozen
awaken and dormant
calm yet explosive
docile yet hard headed
complete yet missing
strong yet broken

a beautiful destruction
to be sure
for i have never
regreted how tattered
I feel while looking
at you

I just hope eventually
I'll hear you say
you feel the same
