Beautiful Words! Poem by Denis Martindale

Beautiful Words!

Bless me, oh Lord, with words so wise that warm my heart within,
Then please help me to realise there are lost souls to win!
For what are words unless they bless? What purpose should they serve?
The heart seeks godly happiness while still here on this Earth.

Let wisdom nurture growth anew to blossom as the rose.
There are good works for us to do before each life must close!
And I am but a servant here, a pilgrim passing time.
Yet You are God, so make things clear! Your words still prove sublime!

I hear You sometimes whispering, so gentle on my mind.
No wonder I am worshipping the beauty that I find.
A double blessing I will share with Christians near and far!
So that is why I pray this prayer! To share how great You are!

Denis Martindale, for the 23rd of May 2024.

The Gospel poem got shared on Revelation TV's
Voice In The Wilderness programme on Thursday,
