Teri khoobsurati ney mujhe bana diya hai dewana
Teri khoobsurati ney mujhe bana diya hai parwana
Ab agar jal bhi jawoo tho koi shikwa nahi
Meri rakh bhi gayega tumhara afsaana.

Your beauty has turned me into a lover
Your beauty has turned me into a flame-daring amorous moth,
I have no complaints even if I am now reduced to ashes
For my ashes too shall sing the story of your worth.
