Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder. Poem by pickle juice

Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Sometimes it is not outwardly seen
And sometimes it comes when you get older.
But what if the beholder’s eye isn’t so keen?

Does that mean the things they say are lies?
Do they tell us we are ugly and unkind,
Simply because they are not wise?
Or do they only tell us what their eyes find.

People will always disagree
And argue, until the end of time
About the things they see
Whether it is sparkle or grime.

So don’t listen
To anyone who says you are not beautiful.
Because in someone else’s eyes you are sure to glisten
And they just happen to think you are dull.
