Because
good people do nothing
not through lack of caring
not because
not because
not, but, because
no one knows how anymore
we are insecure
we sought our own masters
made our own cages
and now cannot act
though the passion rages
will this be our legacy
echoing down down through the ages
that we stood silent
along with our peers
not because we were voiceless
but because
becuase
because
of our fears
