You saw me cry, you saw me smile.
You saw me dance and laugh for a while.
The day came, he broke my heart,
You asked me to tell you, part by part.
I hesitated, for I know who you are.
Had the slip of the tongue, thus making war.
But I was feeling sad, I badly need a friend,
So I told you everything, from beginning to end.
Told me that you'll approach him, apology's a demand,
I tried to stop you, for you don't understand.
You calmed me down, saying, 'What are friends for? '
But I nearly fainted, almost fell on the floor.
The next day, I didn't really care.
You reminded me of it, I said, 'That's unfair! '
Without my knowing, he already knew
That the day before, I was feeling blue.
Since I didn't know it, I ran up the stairs,
Feeling so sad, with a bit of despair.
I saw him, and he saw me too,
And I said, 'After class, I'd like to talk to you.'
After talking, I was shocked to know
That somebody else knows, but you just said, 'So? '
I was frustrated, mad, and ashamed
For everyone now knew, and I was to blame.
I tried not to talk to you, but it just can't do,
'Cause if I would, I know what you'd do.
Use the slip of the tongue to expose my bad deeds,
And make my heart really, really bleed.
What would I do, for because of you,
I have no face to show to the people I knew.
Should I just sit down, pretend to be fine,
Or turn away and hurt you until the end of time?
