Before. Poem by David Kinyanjui

Before.

Before you reach the end,
How far will you bend?
Will you crumble and break,
Or crack and make it as a wreck?

Before it becomes noise,
How high will you raise your voice?
Will they have heard,
Or it will remain just as hard?

Before you throw in the towel,
And even think of a farewell,
Have you looked in the mirror, and saw a jewel.
