Before And After - How Loved Ones Feel Before And After Someone Commits Suicide

Before reading the suicide note: (response from loved ones)

Why?
Why did you do this to me?
Why did you kill yourself?
Why did you not say anything?
Why me?
Why now?
Why did you hurt me?
God is going to punish you
for what you did today
Did you know all this
When you selfishly slid away?

After the note:

I never knew you felt this way...
I never wanted you to go away...
I always loved you
should have told you so
I should have held you tight
never let you go
to that dark dark place
I should have seen it on your face
I should have read between the lines
I saw your eyes but did not ask
I had things to do, another task
It never dawned on me
if I did I should have spoken
that you were broken
torn up inside like this
and now I know just how you felt
My life will never be the same
Your face, your eyes, your voice, your name
will forever haunt my dreams
I wish I could describe
just what you meant to me...

I don't believe in suicide myself. If something hearts me real bad and there are many things that hurt in this life I'd rather talk to someone who really understand or do tai chi or take a long walk in the mountains! Your poem is magnificent it teaches us to respect the sanctity of life including the lives of others...and our own dear lives! Thank you I like this poem very much.
