Before Dawn Poem by Jim Boone

Before Dawn

We met in a noisy crowd
and quickly sought
a retreat
where attraction
as we felt it
could express itself
in the quiet
of a rented room.

Talk turned into kisses
as the heat of the moment
erupted over two bodies
eager
to become one.

Exhaustion turned into talk
as the joy of eruption
lit two minds
wanting
to share and know
as much as possible
before dawn.
