Before One's Final Breath Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Before One's Final Breath

Rating: 5.0

Hear what people are saying
No life is after death
That man's soul begins decaying
Beyond one's final breath

With evolution's shrouding mist
Truth's no more debated
Countless believe God can't exist
And church is found outdated

With life's facts no longer vital
Assurance out the door
God's seen as a has-been title
As failures long before

God's not wanted on earth no more
With hearts hardened as stone
With man, creating self's own law
Satan is on his throne

Only Christ's faithful few can see
Hear what truth reveals
What here is now, what soon will be
As God removes the seals

For The Lord will nothing withhold
From those with faith and grace
Devoted lambs within life's fold
Who'll shortly see His face

With time nearing every day
With fact revealing signs
Will Christ not soon be on His way
As child-like faith declines

Present yourself, before life's King
The living Christ on high
Receive life's crown, true faith will bring
While true salvation's nigh.....
