Before Your Fears Poem by Shane Brown

Before Your Fears

Somehow in my enclosed vision
I can see you standing just ahead
Your heart pulls to that purple horizon;
The dawn that escapes from death

I will not doubt honesty
I know that we will return together
Everything can be left to the rain covered sky;
Because it can never follow freedom.

Bravery will break
The beauty of your hand as it is laid to rest-
Perfectly fitting in mine.
Let go of those wandering fears
And let the haste of life carry away time
