Begin Again

(originally written 2015)

In a night's dream after a long day:
[I am back where I was before
Only now I lost it all and little bit more
This time I felt it to the core
Pain was sharp and raw
Real sharp and raw for sure
I figured I should disappear
I prepared to start running into the distance
sprint as far as I can away from the presence
I turned to make certain
that shut the window and pulled the curtain
Make sure the door behind me is perfectly shut
And I as I turned to keep on running
Something struck me hard, and it made quite the cut

Its sheared through the pain
This force prohibited me from doing something completely insane
The weight fell to the ground and I felt a gush of relief like I was dancing in the summer rain
Revived Refilled my dried breath that a nightmare left drained
He told me He still care
I got up violently and gasped for air
A voice whispered, stay right there
stay right where you are and begin again]
