Behind Her Eyes Poem by Patrick Barongan

Behind Her Eyes

From her eyes fall her tears
There's something wrong
Inside her she fears,
Her past is one that is dark and sad
Full of the things
That would make her mad.
But as far as she can see
This is how
Her life was supposed to be
Since the time we met
Something about her
Was just missing I bet.
A positive person to make her smile
To wipe the tears
Someone to be with her all the while
Someone to show her the beauty
That she possess
That will be my duty
I want her to know
How amazing she is
And how much it shows
To me she means more
Then whatever my pathetic
Life has in store.
She's made me smile like no other
She's comfort me held me close
So unlike another.
Her kindness knows no bounds
And she makes me happy
With hardly making a sound.
She is not a star but a sun
That shines so bright
And is so fun.
Her smile that shines so bright
When I'm with her
I know that I'll be alright.
She's my amazing dinosaur
But in reality
She means so much more.
