Behind The Curtain Of Man Poem by Adookorn Auaduma

Behind The Curtain Of Man

Of life - the whole existence
colour the noble as stony coral,
and the glittery golden sun at twilight -
with the blood of the common on the queue,

Waiting for their foreboding turn to exit
at the threshold of of slug, or meditate
nature, and denounce the human colours
engrave on self-centered pillar of hate

But my salubrious ally caght me
in the cosy web of nature's abundance,
her lucullan warm touch neck me, and swallow
my vanity behind the curtain of man

I smile my thanks, journeyed away
in my sun bathed car, and stopped
at the entrance of the friendly wood

I could feel the thrust of her grin
through the random leaves, as I walk
the ecru wood embellished with amber-greens

How comforting is the selfless love of nature,
the wind wade through the trees and grasses
in freedom from self-centeredness, hate and pride

Now I plod the selfless path of nature in faith,
plough the plumage of pride with the pruner
of love, and could weed my gardens of thistle.
