Such A World
Imagine a world without hate,
we take off the apparel of vanity
and wear the breastplate of love
No broken bridges between race
to falter their free flow, trammel
the mix of colours or hamper
the cord that divide belief for war
Imagine a world where swords of war
are beaten into prune shears; the ray
of love burn seeds grown in soil
of despisal, radiate the path of laurels
When you and I do to others the
things we want others to do to us
Imagine a world deficient of prejudice
where colour does not dictate the
approval we earn: value and prospect
such a world where wolf and sheep
feast together, the club of inclination
is shattered with hammer of love--
No wild life, predator and prey
eat curd as sheep of the same flock;
they are led by one humble shepherd
Imagine a world where peace echoe
in the wood
dance on the street
kiss
and hug
build bridges for colour
race
nation
intertwine ribbons of harmony
When you and I do to others the
things we want others to do to us.
