Behind The Smile Poem by Micronjan (Micron)

Behind The Smile

Because you once feigned love's embrace,
Because your arms were a cruel space,
Because you left me torn apart,
Because you thrived on breaking hearts.

You built my trust then set it aflame,
Whispered lies and spread my name.
Turned friends to foes, tried to make me small,
Fed the world my pain, enjoyed it all.

But some stood firm, saw through your guise,
Refused your poison, scorn, and lies.
Through tear-stained eyes I now perceive,
The hollow monster you deceive.

A villain wrapped in false affection,
A serpent thriving on deception.
Yet I remain, unbroken, free,
While you lost all, and lost to me.
