Behind These Walls Poem by Nebil Elias

Behind These Walls

Laying in my bed
Just lost in my head
Staring at these walls
My demons creep and crawl
Every night the same brawl

Behind these walls, my memories call
Behind these walls, I always fall
Behind these walls, I'm so down and blue
Behind these walls, where I grew
Where the light can't shine through
The wounds and scars they never heal
Misery is all I ever feel

It tears me down part by part
Until there's nothing left in my heart
I'm alone in this place and scared
Reminding myself that nobody cares
Behind these walls tells a different story
A tale so deep filled with a psychotic journey
