Behind Those Curtains Poem by Joen Coronel

Behind Those Curtains

Night! night is watching your shadow
Bright! brighter than a moon's glow
Sight! sights from lackluster cottons
Tight! tightly wrapped in a vague light!

Tough! tough emotions unfurl on a curly floor
Cough! cough is heard miles apart
Laugh! laugh seems to be in distant plateau
Top! yes, on top of a morning fog!

Low! low image forming a sad tranquility
Crow! crow lands in firm, mundane perch
Go! go up, hide beneath the ruins
Tow! soul is towed beyond the cloth!

Pony! a fiery horse enlivens a path
Bony! bony plates cracking at the very rear
Thorny! vines constrict her tensely
Skinny! Her specter separates from bliss

Behind those curtains.
