Being Black Poem by Nkosinathi Nsibande

Being Black

Okay okay. Let me get this straight... They say an eye for eye turns the whole world blind. While knee for a flag gets me fired
Straight to be listed as unhired,
While their knees leave me breatheless begging for life,
While I shout and scream I have a wife,
And kids..
While am black I lack the capacity to be treated as a human being in this City.
White City...
Only to be given the bible to hold my peace while they arm their kids with real pieces,
Building nuclear bombs, biological weapons I'm told to have a prayer for just for my issues,
All lives matter protesting my protest of black lives matter..
But I am black I lack the capacity to be treated as a human being in this city.....
Because I am most feared in this city
, I was suppose to slave in the city
But I am only getting killed in the city..
