Being In Truth Poem by robyn nathan

Being In Truth

Being in my own truth

Warrior woman

I will stand here forever

In the strength and beauty of self

Tall in the forest among those loving and loved

Let not sorrow dissolve this body into the ground

To sink into the roots

To decay among the leaves

A helpless creature returning to the earth

What of love

What of lust

What of my body

Feel me in this body

Always the last to feel

Let it press against me

Lips into softness

This unimaginable sensation

My limbs intertwine with yours

Your body becomes an unending ocean of depth, texture and taste

Skin like water dissolving to touch

Swimming through waters wrapped around my body

It is a union to self

I am not outside

I am inside pulsing through your veins

Rising with you

Flowing with the waters as they leave your body and enter into mine

The raging storm now battles with me

I am standing in self

Fearless and All

Who will fight this warrior woman

Who will render me helpless in my fullness

No one

Stand with me then

Love me if you can
