Being oppressed is knowing where the refugee camp is,
Being oppressed is knowing how hard it is to move on,
Being oppressed is seeing how few options you have,
Being oppressed is running in different places in search of security,
Being oppressed is wondering if your best friend is lying when she says she doesn't mind when you ask for help,
Being oppressed is knowing your classmates go to each others houses but never have friends over to yours,
Being oppressed is when you know no one really cares,
Being oppressed is deciding that it's all right to base a relationship on shelter to escape,
Being oppressed is relying on people who don't give a damn about you,
Being oppressed is a tight squeeze inside that doesn't go away,
Being oppressed is hoping you will be free one day.
