Bellicima - Poem by Katherine Lyczek
If I could just hold you, one more time...
I would give anything,
to stroke your soft, feathery fur,
to watch you enjoy sunny naps,
and your brilliant, emerald eyes
sleek with intelligence and edge...
yet soft with your cute, cat soul
As you mischievously plan your next hunt,
on the plump mourning doves outside our window..
You were my baby,
You still are,
My Snow White Angel.
